Directions to Steve's House

I love the world of Mapquest! It certainly makes it easy to provide directions and maps.

Here's the "quick and dirty" directions to Steve's house:

Take I-45 to County Line Road (Highway Q). County Line Road is the nothernmost boundary of Milwaukee County. Head east on County Line Road for 1/4 mile. Turn left on Division Road and drive 1/2 mile north. Turn right onto Concord Road. The Schroeder home will be the FIRST driveway on your left. My address is N98 W17132 Concord Road.

Here are a couple maps and pictures to help guide your way. If you need more specific instructions, shoot me an e-mail. If you get lost along the way, give me a call at (414) 467-5087.

The Rules of Spotted Cow

1. A minimum of three Hold 'em Tournaments will be played during the course of the evening/night. The entry fee for each tournament will be $30. Along with a $15 contribution towards food and beer, the entire night will cost $105. Steve will collect the full $105 from each player prior to the first tournament being played. Cash only - no checks, IOU's, pledges of your first born, etc. Gold bullion will be accepted, but I cannot make change. If time allows, a 4th tournament may be played. However, the entry fee for that tournament will not be collected until later in the night and entry into that tournament is completely optional.

2. The Top 4 players in each tournament will receive money. First place will receive approximately 40% of the total prize pool. Second place will collect 30%, third place will be awarded 20%, and fourth place will get 10% of the prize pool. If 19 players participate (as anticipated), the payouts will be $210, $160, $105, and $50 - already netted for payouts for the Bullseye feature (see below).

3. The Top 3 returning finishers from the last completed tournament (that had bullseyes) will be given a bullseye. Any person who eliminates one of those three players will be awarded a $15 prize. If one of the 3 bullseye holders proceeds to win the next tournament, he will be awarded the $15 - since no one else was able to claim the prize for eliminating him. When Spotted Cow XXV kicks off, Keith Koeper, Ryan Lown, and Bruce Sackmann will be holding the bullseyes for the first tournament.

4. Each player will receive approximately 60 chips to begin a tournament. The blinds will increase at regular intervals throughout the tournament - although the time we spend at each level will decrease as we move along. Here is the blind schedule and time we'll spend at each level: 1-2 (12 minutes), 2-4 (11 minutes, 30 seconds), 3-6 (11 minutes), 5-10 (10 minutes, 30 seconds), 10-15 (10 minutes), 15-25 (9 minutes, 30 seconds), 25-40 (9 minutes), 40-60 (9 minutes), 50-75 (9 minutes), 100-150 (until we finish). At any time, the minimum bet will be the amount of the small blind. Typically, each tournament takes 2 hours to finish.

5. If we get less than 19 players, two separate tables will be used for each tournament and initial seating will be randomly determined. Otherwise, the tournament will begin with three tables. At no point during the night will a difference of more than two players be allowed at separate tables. If, for example, one table contains 7 players and another table has 4 players, a random drawing will be conducted to move one of the 7 players to the other table. The player that is relocated will be moved to the smaller table and take the seat of the last player eliminated from that table. He will assume any blind that may be required from that seat. Consolidation of tables will occur throughout each tournament and will be determined that night - based primarily on overall turnout and size of the individual tables.

6. Any disputes will be settled by Steve Schroeder. Since none of us are "seasoned" tournament players, I will not use strict tournament rules to settle a dispute. Instead, I will use a "reasonable person" test and settle the dispute accordingly. I will always try to rule with the best interests of fair play and good sportsmanship in mind. At the same time, my decision is final! Through our first 24 tournaments, we haven't had any significant problems, so I hope that streak continues.

7. Remember, this is fun!!
